STUDENT EVENTS

IAEE European PhD-students Day

(August 18, 11.00–17.00, Centre for Innovative Energy Systems, University of Applied Sciences, Georg-Glock-Str. 3, 40474 Düsseldorf)

This year’s PhD Day will take place in Düsseldorf, at the margin of the 13th European IAEE Conference. The PhD Day’s main objective is to provide selected PhD students with a platform for presenting an in-depth version of their work in the field of energy economics. 

Student Happy Hour

An event specifically designed towards students will be organized. 

IAEE Best Student Paper Award

(August 19, 11.00-12:30 in  Room “Aristotels 1” – Ground Floor)

IAEE is pleased to offer an award for the best student papers on energy economics in 2013. The award will consist of a cash prize plus waiver of conference registration fees to attend the IAEE Conference.

IAEE Student Poster Session

(August 20, 11:00-12:30 in Room “Aristotels 3” – Ground Floor)

As a way of encouraging student work in energy economics, IAEE is starting a student poster session award.

We suggest some alternative good but lower priced hotels in Düsseldorf. No official arrangements have been made with these hotels.

Student room sharing

The 13th IAEE European Conference will help to assist students to share hotel rooms in an effort to reduce your lodging expense.

Registration Fee Scholarship

IAEE is offering a limited number of student scholarships to the 13th IAEE European Conference. IAEE scholarship funds will be used to cover the conference registration fees.

Special OFID/IAEE Support Fund for Students from Developing Countries

IAEE is pleased to announce the continuation of a special program offering conference support to IAEE student members from developing countries. The program covers five of the Association’s conferences in 2013. This program is generously underwritten by the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and the International Association for Energy Economics.
